Three suspects pled guilty to the theft of anhydrous ammonia this week.

William Lyons, 23, of Blanchard, and Christopher Smith, 30, of Bradley, both pled guilty to charges involved in a theft of anhydrous ammonia from Minco Grain and Feed earlier this year.

Lyons, who had four prior felonies, received 10 years for attempting to elude officers and 21 years for possession of anhydrous ammonia with intent to manufacture methamphetamine.

Smith, who had two prior felonies, received 21 years for possession of anhydrous ammonia with intent to manufacture.

Dustin Black, 24, of Chickasha, also pled guilty this week to the June theft of anhydrous ammonia from Poag Grain in Pocasset. Black stole the anhydrous while that facility was under surveillance by the Grady County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies watched at Black jumped over a locked gate and filled a two-and-a-half gallon bucket half full with anhydrous, before taking off in a pickup truck.

Black was then arrested after the Deputies conducted a traffic stop on his vehicle.

Black pled guilty to possession of precursors and anhydrous ammonia with intent to manufacture methamphetamine and will be sentenced next month.

In a separate win, Willie Brown, 44, of Chickasha was convicted of his third felony DUI. A jury sentenced Brown to two years in prison and treatment.
